The 4th Coarse Fish Meeting takes place at Sparsholt College, 3rd September, hot topics include refuges from cormorant predation, otters, the decline of the eel, weed control, fish health ... more >>As a child, Bernice would regularly accompany her grandfather on his fishing trips, which has resulted in a lifelong passion for fish and the aquatic environment.
Bernice’s early career was spent in the Fish Section of the Natural History Museum undertaking a variety of work with both freshwater and marine fish, followed by a short spell in the ornamental industry. In 1991 Bernice felt she had gained enough experience to for Aquatic Consultancy.
Bernice has written many scientific papers on a variety of topics and numerous popular articles and books on fishkeeping. Bernice is a Fellow of the Linnaen Society, Chartered Biologist, Member of the Institute of Biology, Member of the Institute of Fisheries Management and Chartered Environmentalist has an IdQ in freshwater fish and undertaken PSYM training for pond and lake survey work.
